Harry Potter Studios

On Tuesday the 26th of September, I went to the Harry Potter Studios in Watford for the afternoon. We started by watching a short video about the actors experience on the set and introduced us to the world of Harry Potter behind the camera. We then went through the doors of the great hall and our tour began!

We also took a workshop in media and marketing before we explored the rest of the studios where we learnt how to market a film and what the most successful ways are for different audiences. We also learnt that they were currently filming Fantastic Beasts and where to find them 2 and were previously filming Kingsman: the golden circle which meant that Channing Tatum had been in the very room we were sitting in!

After the workshop we looked around the studio. We saw the different sets, props and costumes and being a huge fan of Harry Potter I recognised it all! It was really interesting to see how this magical world came to life even without the cameras. My favourite part was the "forbidden forest" where we saw huge trees with fog at the bottom of their trunks and massive spiders coming down from the ceiling. I of course had to try butterbeer which was actually very nice in my opinion! It was a great experience and here is a video I have made which shows highlights of the trip:
