This shot from Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' music video is simple in term sof it just being a structured dance piece in black and white, using a basic set and simple form. The simplicity of this is effective and appealing for a watcher to see.



This shot from Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' video is effective in its abstract dance elements and the use of colours to reflect different emotions and social groups. It's abstract dance is appealing for a watcher as the movement the dancers use conveys so much emotion and character in very simple ways.



This closeup shot from Sia's 'Chandelier' music video is effective in the way Maddie Ziegler dances and uses elements of  the set and also the dull colours used in the video. The wig she wears is also symbolic of Sia's brand and artist identity and is an iconic way to represent her. Her outfit is simple and nude to blend n to her skin tone, making her more like a doll which fits the dance moves she is doing.



Alan Walker's 'Faded' music video uses an amazing set of a crumbling, damaged building, similar to what I want to use in my video, and has a character simply moving around it, making it simple yet effective as the location is interesting enough to watch.



Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' video shows two girls in a run down house with dreary colours inside and them  looking lifeless and routine. It creates a depressive mood which I definitely want to configure into my video.



In this Demi Lovato music video the use of colourful light is effective and the location is interesting and intriguing for a watcher. The blue and pink lights create a 'nightclub' feel to it and also show a key common element to dance music videos.



Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video has him positioned in front with the zombies behind. They use a simple outside set with the use of a smoke machine to add atmosphere.



In this KPOP music video the dancers are uniform and in a perfect configuration which perfectly in-sync dance moves. The set is colourful, with the use of light and glass, and very bright showing an unrecognisable non-naturalistic location.



This LMFAO music video contains lots of colour and interesting characters to do with their brand. There is a clear summer feel to it and it seems happy and bright. The camera is at a lower angle to show a sense of importance in these people.



In Justin Beiber's 'Sorry' music video they simply use a completely white set with extremely colourful dancers doing alternative and abstract movement to make the video more interesting and appealing to watch.



In One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' music video a mainly white set is used but in the form of an office which the singers interact with a lot. It is a fun video with a sense of carelessness and freedom.
